Happy May Day
Hello Family and Friends...
Sam is going to be SIX MONTHS OLD on Sunday. My goodness time has flown by. We have enjoyed these last six months more than we could ever imagine. The love we have for this child can not be put into words. Many of you mothers and fathers out there know exactly what I'm talking about. It's awesome.
Hmmmm.... it's been so long since the last post and so much has happened. Grandma Sandy stayed with Sam for three weeks before he started daycare. They really enjoyed their time together. Grandpa graciously loaned his wife to us during the week and they would usually head back out to Gold Canyon on the weekend. Great Uncle Elden (to Sam), Judy and cousin Tina came over to meet Sam.
Sam started daycare on March 23rd. We are so blessed to have this family in our lives. He is going to a neighbor lady's home four times a week. She has a four year old boy and an 18 month old girl who just adore Sam. He loves Will and Julia. Since daycare is necessary for our family I could not be happier with the situation we have now. We just get him up and stroller him over in the morning. Those kids entertain him and there is a whole new set of toys to play with. She sends me daily updates via email or text and I usually even get a couple pictures attached with a note from Sam. :) He did catch his first cold and that was hard on Mommy. It's tough when they can't eat or sleep because they feel so bad. We made it through it though! I'm actually staying home with him today because her little girl has some stomach issues going on and I am just being cautious because Grandma Lois is coming out this week to babysit and we don't want her to take care of a sick kid.
Sam is changing all the time. He officially rolls over now onto his tummy.... back and forth.... back and forth. He still screams... I mean.... talks a lot. He loves to sit up but he can't quite hold himself up yet. The bumbo chair is awesome and as you can see from an earlier photo he has taken over my tupperware cupboard. He has two bottom teeth! He eats a ton of food now too. I started making it now to use at home because he can down two to three baby food jars plus cereal for dinner. He's an Olson boy for sure. :) Speaking of boy, he's all boy. The rougher you play with him the better.
We are looking forward to Grandma Stadheim coming on Sunday. My daycare lady is going on vacation back to Minnesota (she's from Princeburg, MN) so Grandma is flying out to take over. Mommy and Daddy are going to Las Vegas for a wedding on Thursday and we will celebrate our anniversary. It's been 5 years already.... already? Feels like longer than that.... :) We are really looking forward to the getaway and some adult time. There is probably 20 or more of our friends going so it should be a ball. As much as I'm looking forward to going - I know I'll be super excited to come home. We'll celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday. So glad I can spend it with my mom too. Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there!
Hope everyone is happy and healthy. Love to you all....
